The Lincoln Aviator midsize luxury SUV is once again playing on its strengths for the 2024 model year. This is especially true in terms of its power and cargo volume, as well as its luxurious aspect, of course. According to all available (unofficial) information, for this fifth year of the current generation, the Aviator will feature an updated exterior look and interior style.
On the outside, we can expect to see some similarities to the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus. Changes to the front end may include redesigned headlights and an enlarged grille. On the inside, the center console may bear a subtle resemblance to that of the Nautilus. A revamped infotainment screen and a few new technological features are more than likely.
In the 2024 Lincoln Aviator, many things, including its dimensions, will remain the same. The vehicle will retain its generous cabin, with three rows of seats and 519 liters of cargo volume (2,201 liters with the two back rows folded down). The weight (up to 2,573 kg), as well as the power of the engine, will be comparable. Consequently, it will continue to offer impressive accelerations for a vehicle of its type.
In this regard, the 2024 Aviator will be available with two different engines: a 3.0 L twin-turbo V6 (400 hp/415 lbf·ft) on the Ultra version and a hybrid powertrain on the Grand Touring version. The latter includes the same V6 gasoline engine plus a 75 kWh electric motor. The combination will produce 494 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. The range in all-electric mode should be 34 km, and it should take only 3½ hours to recharge the 240 V battery. As a result, the higher trim level of the Aviator could exhibit reasonable combined fuel consumption, estimated at 10.3 liters per 100 kilometers.
The Black Label model, which has been available since 2023, will be back, as well as standard all-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Aboard the 2024 Lincoln Aviator, everything should remain sleek, well cushioned, understated and soundproof. There will undoubtedly be a whole host of features related to comfort. We’re also likely to see updates to the devices, technologies and equipment pertaining to safety and connectivity, in particular, the Co-Pilot 360, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay systems.
